1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

In Short: We collect personal information that you choose to input locally or share during feature operations.

Because Echologue is designed as a local-first application, any text or details you supply during your voice journal logs remain contained on your device's secure SQLite database system.

Device Permissions & Audio Data: To support our core product functionality, the app requests Microphone access from your device hardware. This access is used strictly to record your raw audio logs at your explicit command.

Payment Data: We collect details required to securely manage premium tiers and subscriptions. All payment entry and subscription token validation is managed through RevenueCat paired with your native store environment (Apple App Store / Google Play Billing). In Short: We process your information locally or via secure zero-retention API lines to analyze and structure inputs.

We do not hold centralized server-side user accounts or profile directories. Your journal details are transiently transmitted through an authenticated secure proxy strictly to fire the necessary backend API utilities for:

In Short: We process data with your express action and consent to deliver our on-demand services.

If you reside in the EU, UK, or Canada, we rely on your explicit contract fulfillment and consent to run these automated completions. You give permission by initiating features (like speaking a log or engaging in chat history review). We may also process data to comply with valid judicial or legal requests where required by law.

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In Short: We limit data access entirely to the secure sub-processors executing your automated on-device requests.

We do not swap, trade, or sell consumer data. Information is securely handed over to our verified infrastructure sub-processors exclusively to fulfill immediate computational tasks, as outlined in Section 5 below.

5. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?

In Short: Yes, we utilize secure AI technologies on a strictly zero-retention, non-training configuration.

To deliver advanced structured tracking and smart memory recall, we utilize specialized third-party artificial intelligence platforms ("AI Service Providers"):

All configurations are strictly locked to a **Zero-Data-Retention (ZDR)** profile. This guarantees your journal content is never recorded, never inspected by operators, and never utilized by these upstream companies to train public AI baseline systems.

6. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?

In Short: We do not offer or support cloud accounts or social network link integrations.

Echologue works fully without account registration. We do not request profile links via third-party systems like Google, Facebook, or Apple Sign-In. All preferences and states are managed entirely via your client application runtime.

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: Your timeline archive remains entirely on your device indefinitely until you choose to delete it. Server data retention is zero.

Because Echologue stores your journal history exclusively within a local on-device SQLite database, we do not host or back up your permanent data to our own servers. Transmitted audio clips and text sent to our secure third-party AI endpoints (Groq, OpenAI, OpenRouter) are processed transiently and are completely deleted from their processing environments immediately following the API completion.

8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We leverage local platform security sandboxing to insulate your SQLite database files from malicious adjacent applications. Network transmission utilizes end-to-end Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption to pass text between your client and our authorized proxy nodes.

9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect, manage, or solicit information from children under 13 (US) or 16 (EU/UK).

Echologue is designed for general and adult user populations. If a minor utilizes the system on an active handset, their records sit locally. Parents or guardians can easily wipe any saved data instantly by utilizing the "Wipe Data" feature inside the configuration menu or by removing the application entirely from the device.

10. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: You possess total sovereignty and access rights to your data archive.

Because Echologue stores data using a decentralized local-first architecture and does not collect your identity or back up files to our servers, we have no technical means to see, extract, export, or wipe your journal logs on your behalf. You can fully and independently exercise your rights to copy or erase your information at any time directly through the client-side user interface.

11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Because Echologue does not execute online tracking pixels, browser behavioral monetization, or multi-site profiling campaigns, the application does not actively alter features based on incoming Do-Not-Track ("DNT") indicators.

12. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

We respect international privacy laws, including Australia's Privacy Act 1988 and New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020. Because data is stored completely on your local device, any correction, retrieval, or inspection rights are satisfied directly by opening the app on your phone.
